It's been a drizzly, mild rainy day here. A touch of something simply simple was needed.
Adoring these pretty wild grass jewels swaying gold, green and plum, I came across them hiking this summer along Abalone Cove in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
Nature consistently inspires my designs, color stories and rejuvenates me. I have learned to change my pace, slow down, and deeply appreciate its mesmerizing qualities.
Wishing everyone a day rich with fresh fall air.

Let it Happen. Keep the Flow. Let it Go.
Find a way to reach a calm moment, take a nice deep breath and exhale. Another day accomplished.
Wishing everyone a splendid Wednesday!
Written language is such a powerful tool for me. There are times writing can be such a tug of war between the heart and mind. The mind wants one thing, the heart another. One way I've found to help bring clarity is through free style writing.
Letting words creativity flow unstructured and intuitively allows instinct to appear on paper. From fragments to long-winded essays, good will come out of these love letters. Surely some of it makes sense and some are like a confusing dream to piece together.
The best part though is coming back later and rereading a particular writing and it clicks! The mind and heart found balance and clarity presents itself.
I keep a colorful spiral notebook for this purpose. It's kept nearby to record whims of fleeting thoughts, moments, and artistic ideas.
Periodically, I visit this collection to incorporate in a new piece of art or refine unfinished works.
Have a beautiful day. Make Time to Write.

Hi and welcome! A snippet about me: I'm originally from Chicago - born and raised - as a matter of fact. Until last year. Timing is everything. The company I worked for for seven years closed its doors and I had the chance to venture out west.
I moved to Los Angeles to hibernate in warmth, visit the ocean, and reconnect with nature. As of late, the Pacific Northwest is now home. Surrounded by its majestic emerald forests, numerous waterways and coastal havens, I look forward to seeing every bit of it.
The past twelve months has been about rejuvenating creative energy, visiting national landmarks, learning photography, and getting messy through painting. The artistic side of my mind desperately needed tending to. Rekindling this energy took about six months. By springtime, my mojo kicked in and I am loving it!
Wishing you a colorful day!
